Walloon Coal Measures of Middle Jurassic age with a gentle regional
dip to the south. Local dips vary due to local faults & structures. Eight
coal seams are mined in an open cut operation & one in the
underground operation. The seams are: Hudson - 0.8m; Hall - 1m;
Hardie - 1m; John - 1.5m; Gunthorpe - 1m; Trewick - 0.7m; Little
Jim - 1m; Roots - 1m; & Cowell - 3m (underground).
