This deposit occurs at the north-east extremity of the middle Carboniferous to Early Permian Scardons Volcanics cauldron subsidence.
Mineralisation is largely confined to the brecciated exodome section of the rhyolite as well as the country rock metamorphics and is |
principally associated with intense silicification. |
Within the metamorphics the mineralisation occurs as a series of tabular quartz-sulphide fracture fill and replacement zones.
