Gold is associated with a series of thin, parallel, siliceous, iron-rich gossanous lodes or bands within phyllite, schist or chert.
Most of the lodes are associated with phyllites containing up to 3.5% manganese as oxides in fractures and joints.
Ore zones are confined to anastomosing shear zones which show strong internal deformation in the hanging wall and minor brecciation of |
psammitic rocks on their margins. |
